First time I've ever seen a Stop sign for Train Tracks

Grand Junction on the Rathdrum Prairie

Dec/27/2008: re-edited for the 6th time. I love the photo but something about it keeps irking me *sigh*. I think it's good this time though.. we'll see if I still like it tomorrow lol

You know a photo is successful when the viewer unconsciously wraps his sweater tighter around him while looking at it. Thank You for posting this one.

Wow... the snow is so pristine!!! Was this first thing in the morning or just too cold for anyone to be outside?

Well.. this "Grand Junction" isn't a town, but it's a railroad junction. [link]

And here's another shot that actually shows the junction: [link]

it's kinda hard to find them I think.. snow covered ones I mean. Most of the time trains don't let them build up but these tracks apparently dont get used much

Thanks :)

lol true.. even without the snow.. I've always wanted to photograph them.. just something I have to do.. like some day I want to photograph wolves in the wild too.. just one time.. LOL Don't have a good enough camera for that yet though..

All of your snow-series shots are very "epic" :) Not that the snowfall you had isn't so!

I like to visit the snow (Lake Tahoe area) but don't think I could live in it, yet alone try to drive in it

Eh it's not too bad in 4wd.. except when it's 3 feet deep and you cant get out the driveway like last thursday. That sucked. lol

I've always wanted to check out lake tahoe. Maybe someday
