Spokane looks so ugly.
But this photo makes it look so much better. <3

You're a great photographer. ^^

Spokane can be pretty too, just some parts are bad. Even this has its charm. And thank you :)

Good composition here...makes the trains looks very mighty...and i like the colours..or lack thereof. I'm just wondering why the clouds look so weird..like waterpaint..is that done on purpose with a photoshop filter or something or is that the photo quality?

thanks! I like the colors too.

As far as the clouds I don't know what you're seeing that looks so strange.. they seem pretty normal looking to me. I slightly bumped up the contrast on them but otherwise they really did look like that so I don't know

The bit aout the clouds...around the edges of the clouds..going from dark to light and vice versa..specially up in the top of the photo the clouds are very ';patchy' going from dark to light...i'm sure there's a better word to describe this but i can't think of it right now....you only see it in the full view version...not the smaller.
But it doesn't matter..it's still a good photo taken from a cool angle ;)

cool shot once again ! :)

especially like the sky very dark and insecure. But for the light conditions you really captured a sharp image. with depth and movement still.

(I won't mention the reflection now ;)

thanks! I was going for that look. That's good that it looks like there was movement.. there wasn't much moving in the pic though, just the river. I think that train has been sitting up there for a long time

Is that the UP tracks over by the Valley Mall? Besides the fact that they are limited to about 20-25 through there, they tend to park trains for crew changes along there, usually with some of it sitting on the trestle.

(These are the kinds of things you learn when 90% of your subjects are trains!) ;)

Not a good memory so much as having paid a lot of attention to exactly where each railroad's tracks run through this area, and the specifics of the terrain for each.

I suppose I qualify as a foamer, though I'm probably the least foamer of the group of people I'll go out and shoot pictures of trains with. :)

really :eyepopping: ?!?

well you fooled me, I was sure the train was at least passing by, even if I thought it was at a very slow pace when you took the picture.

Very good! I like the drab sky and the colors in the train. :eyepopping: I especially like how the train fades into mist. :D
