Good composition here...makes the trains looks very mighty...and i like the colours..or lack thereof. I'm just wondering why the clouds look so weird..like waterpaint..is that done on purpose with a photoshop filter or something or is that the photo quality?
As far as the clouds I don't know what you're seeing that looks so strange.. they seem pretty normal looking to me. I slightly bumped up the contrast on them but otherwise they really did look like that so I don't know
The bit aout the clouds...around the edges of the clouds..going from dark to light and vice versa..specially up in the top of the photo the clouds are very 'atchy' going from dark to light...i'm sure there's a better word to describe this but i can't think of it right now....you only see it in the full view version...not the smaller. But it doesn't matter..it's still a good photo taken from a cool angle
thanks! I was going for that look. That's good that it looks like there was movement.. there wasn't much moving in the pic though, just the river. I think that train has been sitting up there for a long time
Is that the UP tracks over by the Valley Mall? Besides the fact that they are limited to about 20-25 through there, they tend to park trains for crew changes along there, usually with some of it sitting on the trestle.
(These are the kinds of things you learn when 90% of your subjects are trains!)
